Almond Butter – Easy to Make at Home!

A perfect peanut butter alternative when you’re on a cleanse (or anytime), almond butter is easy to make.

Ingredients
  • 2 cups of whole, unsalted almonds
  • Sea salt (add a pinch or two to taste)
  • ¼ teaspoon of canola oil (if needed)

Pulse two cups of almonds in a food processor, adding sea salt to taste. Then, pulse for just another minute or two until you get a “buttery” texture. Generally, the oils and healthy fats in the almonds should provide enough moisture, but if the overall texture seems too dry and crumbly, consider adding just a small (1/4 tsp) amount of canola oil while processing.
