What to look for in a cleanse

With so many cleanse supplements out there, choosing one can be tough. There are some things you absolutely should have on board.

#1 - Herbal Extracts

Herbal extracts, like milk thistle, provide the liver with support at a cellular level. Natural, non-stimulant laxative ingredients, like slippery elm and marshmallow extract, help the digestive system move toxins out of the system. And magnesium hydroxide gently increases bowel movement size and frequency. These ingredients are included in the Detox Activation™ cleansing formula, along with boldo, which increases bile flow from the gallbladder, relaxes smooth muscle in the intestines, and improves intestinal transit time; black radish, which also enhances bile flow from the gallbladder and provides liver protective effects; and turmeric, a potent antioxidant that supports bile secretion, and pancreatic and gastric function.

#2 - High Quality Fiber

Also, one of the most important—but often overlooked—components of a cleanse is fiber. As the liver and digestive system prepare to remove toxins, fiber binds these toxins to move them out of the body and helps gently clean the intestines, too. Fiber Fusion™ PLUS daily cleansing fiber, adds another fiber to it’s already impressive list of psyllium, oat bran, pectin, marshmallow root, and guar gum – glucomannan. Glucomannan, from konjac root, works with the other fiber ingredients on the Fiber Fusion PLUS team, increasing bowel movement frequency and stool bulk.

#3 - Probiotics

Last, but definitely not least, consider supplementing with probiotics to promote regular bowel movements and replenish healthy bacteria for digestive balance. Acidophilus Pearls™ active cultures supports a healthy intestinal system and relieves occasional gas and bloating, too.

Each of these components is included with the updated Whole Body Cleanse™ complete 10-day cleansing system, now a 10-day cleanse program. But you may not find it in many others. If you’re new to cleansing, Whole Body Cleanse may be one of the most thorough – and we think best – introductions you can get.
