Frequently Asked Questions

What is PredictEase™ intestinal balance system†?
When you have to deal with an unpredictable digestive system, you just wish you could wave a wand and make it disappear. While PredictEase is no wand, it does deliver intestinal predictability in as little as 2 weeks!†**

When should I start taking PredictEase™?
Start taking PredictEase intestinal balancing system after your next bowel movement. If episodic constipation is your concern, make sure you’re drinking 8-12 glasses of water daily while using this supplement.†

Why should I take PredictEase?
PredictEase provides a combination of fiber, probiotics and melatonin to help your digestive system get back on track again.† It features a unique, comprehensive approach in one convenient supplement:

  • It regulates healthy bowel function to control occasional loose stools and constipation with a unique fiber blend.†
  • It replenishes healthy microflora with live, active probiotics for lasting intestinal comfort.†
  • It restores intestinal wellness and reduces occasional abdominal distress with melatonin.†

Is it a complicated product?
PredictEase is easy to use: just take 4 capsules with eight ounces of water one hour before bedtime. That means that natural, soothing relief of occasional abdominal distress and digestive unpredictability is just around the corner!

What causes digestive unpredictability?
The reasons vary, but stress and personal conflicts, certain foods, large meals, occasional sleeplessness, and hectic schedules can all play a part.†

How does stress affect digestive unpredictability?
Stress interferes with almost everything in our lives, but stress and conflicts can be one of the major reasons for digestive unpredictability. The reason for this is that stress interferes with our body’s ability to properly produce serotonin, a natural “feel good” chemical.

Although serotonin is considered a “brain chemical,” it’s mostly found in the digestive system. Not only does this have a bearing on digestive predictability - or lack thereof - it could also explain many other emotional and digestion connections, such as “butterflies in the stomach” or having a “nervous gut,” and more.

Some first natural steps toward predictability:
What is it that stresses you out the most? Learning ways to reduce stress may help reduce occasional digestive unpredictability, too. Stress is one of the biggest reasons we occasionally lose sleep, and getting a good night’s sleep is closely related to healthy digestion.

How does sleep affect digestion?
Because sleep affects everything else. Sleep, energy levels, outlook and digestion are all related. Sleep is the great mental and physical “repair shop” for our bodies. With more sleep, comes less stress, and an increased ability to overcome the obstacles life sends our way. When that happens, our daily stresses don’t just “go to our stomachs,” like they do when we’re running on low levels of rest.

That’s just one of the reasons we’ve included melatonin in the formula - to gently help restore optimal sleep patterns.†

How else are melatonin and digestion related?
Melatonin, which we normally think of as a “brain chemical” like serotonin, is created, in a large part, in our gastrointestinal tract. Not only does is support healthy sleep, but it also dramatically decreases occasional abdominal discomforts.† Clinical research backs this up.

One placebo-controlled trial examining the benefits of melatonin on bowel and sleep habits (especially for those suffering from occasional sleeplessness as a result) showed greatly reduced abdominal distress compared to the group taking the placebo.† In fact, those in the melatonin group experienced more than three times the benefit in just two weeks of supplementation.†

In another study, 18 individuals were randomly assigned 3 mg of melatonin or a placebo at bedtime for 8 weeks. The results were assessed two ways; objectively through laboratory tests, and subjectively through quality of life questionnaires. This is a good way to measure how well a supplement supports a health concern. This way, both physical, measureable changes and the way people “feel” (no less real to those involved) is taken into account.

Compared to the placebo group, individuals taking melatonin experienced up to 3.5 times more improvement in gastrointestinal function and digestive comfort.†

Almost mirroring these numbers, the quality of life in the melatonin group was nearly three times that of the placebo group.†

That’s one of the reasons we’ve included melatonin in the formula - not only to gently help restore optimal sleep patterns, to restore intestinal wellness, too.†

Why is there fiber in this formula?
The fiber in the formula has a few tasks. First, it regulates healthy bowel function to control occasional loose stools and constipation with a unique fiber blend.†

Second, it actually helps protect the probiotic strains we’ve included in the formula. Our unique psyllium fiber blend creates a barrier around the probiotics in the formula as it hydrates, thanks to the True Dispersion™ Technology. This is the same innovative approach to fiber that ensures it “opens up” in your intestines to gently ease and regulate healthy digestion.†

Dietary fiber is an essential nutrient that possesses a wide-range of health benefits.† As the indigestible portion of plant foods, dietary fiber moves through the digestive system absorbing water, thereby promoting comfortable bowel movements.†

PredictEase™ intestinal balancing system provides an effective blend of soluble fibers - fiber that easily dissolves in water and promotes health elimination.† The key benefits of each fiber ingredient include:

  • Psyllium husk: shown to absorb up to 14 times its weight in water, psyllium husk supports ease of elimination.†
  • Guar gum: derived from the seed of the guar plant, research shows that guar gum supports healthy digestive regularity.†
  • Pectin: from citrus fruits, pectin is a soluble fiber that helps “even out” both occasional constipation and loose stools.†
  • Marshmallow root: studied for its support of the lining of the colon.† Because of its sticky, moist qualities, marshmallow offers soothing support for the intestinal wall and helps make elimination comfortable.†
One thing to remember when supplementing with fiber: Drink your water!
If episodic constipation is your concern, make sure you’re drinking 8-12 glasses of water daily while using this supplement.†

What do probiotics do for digestive predictability?
Stable probiotic supplements can beneficially alter the balance of microflora in the intestine and colon.† Once probiotics establish themselves in the digestive tract, they support the body’s natural anti-inflammatory response, reduce occasional loose stools and alternating constipation, and provide relief of gas, bloating, and cramping.†

Clinically-researched like the other ingredients in PredictEase, probiotics can provide fast-acting as well as long-term benefits.†

One year-long study with 25 volunteers found supplementation with probiotics, in combination with fiber, dramatically reduced occasional stomach discomforts, indigestion, and flatulence.† And, benefits increased for nearly all of the volunteers throughout the study.†

How do these ingredients work together?
Very well. In fact, a randomized, single-blind, three phase study with 20 volunteers found that a similar combination of fiber, probiotics, and melatonin, quickly restored and helped maintain healthy digestive function.†**

The study had three phases. Phase 1 examined melatonin, and phases 2 and 3 looked at the benefits of probiotics and the fiber blend. The results were very encouraging:

  • Participants experienced nearly complete relief (over 95 percent!) of the most common gastrointestinal symptoms, including digestive predictability, occasional constipation, loose stools, and bloating†
  • There was an 82 percent improvement in abdominal discomfort following supplementation†
  • The majority of participants (64 percent) reported increased comfort during elimination†
  • Up to 81 percent of participants stated an improvement in sleep†
