Overview
Clinically proven to support healthy joint function and range of motion†
- Up to 80% of participants in clinical trials experienced significant joint health support.†1,2
- Eleven clinical trial have all found positive benefits
Also supports healthy bronchial airways†
As an added benefit, Lyprinol has also been shown to support healthy bronchial airways.†3
Free from harmful levels of toxins, metals and impurities
- There is a growing concern about the safety of seafoods and ocean-harvested ingredients.
- You can be assured that Lyprinol is free from harmful levels of toxins, metals and other impurities.
Why use this product?
It helps protect cartilage and support joint health naturally.† Lyprinol is a great source of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids, including EPA and DHA. It makes a great alternative or adjunct supplement to fish oil or flax oil.

Technical Data
Description
Enzymatic Therapy's Miracle from the Sea Lyprinol is a natural, unique and patented stable extract of green-lipped mussels. Backed by over 30 years of research,
Lyprinol has been clinically proven to help support healthy bronchial airways, healthy joint function, and normal range of motion.
1-13
Lyprinol:
- Uses a patented extraction process that protects key compounds (U.S. Patent # 4,455,298)
- The subject of eleven clinical trials, all showing significant positive effect
- Clinically proven to support healthy joint function, range of motion, and healthy airways
- Provides natural non-polar lipids for joint and bronchial airway support
- Free from harmful levels of toxins, metals and impurities
Structure/Function
Lyprinol is clinically proven to support healthy joint function.
Lyprinol supports normal range of motion.
How Does It Work?
Lyprinol contains a unique grouping of rare omega-3 fatty acids derived from the non-polar lipids of New Zealand's green lipped mussel
(Perna canaliculus). This combination of omega-3 fatty acids is wholly unique to this species and is not found in any other living system.
1-6 While anecdotal evidence and observational research was altogether positive for the green lipped mussel's ability to support human health, initial clinical studies were inconsistent.
Early researchers erred when they suggested that freezing and powdering the mussels would provide the same benefits as raw mussel flesh. These early attempts caused oxidation of the non-polar lipids and resulted in completely inert materials.
5, 6 Perseverance and years of exacting research finally resulted in a patented process that stabilizes the non-polar lipids before the green-lipped mussels are processed.
7
To date, there is only one nutritional supplement utilizing this patented, stabilized green lipped mussel powder,
Miracle of the Sea Lyprinol. When comparing the outcomes of clinical research using stabilized green lipped mussel powders with active non polar lipids to outcomes from research using unstabilized green lipped mussel powders, it's evident that stabilization is crucial.
Research
The amount of research conducted on
Lyprinol is impressive and quite unique for a dietary supplement. In a 1998 study comparing the effectiveness of
Lyprinol stabilized green lipped mussel (Perna canaliculus) with the raw green lipped mussel powder, both forms supported healthy joint function and normal range of motion.
8 The only difference was in speed of action: the
Lyprinol extract achieved a more rapid response, demonstrating that the nutritional supplement
Miracle form the Sea Lyprinol contains the same key compounds present in the raw mussel.
8
Experimental studies have shown that
Lyprinol is effective in supporting pathways responsible for the production of certain bronchio-pulmonary compounds.
9 A double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial randomized forty six subjects to receive two capsules of Lyprinol or placebo, twice daily for eight weeks. There was significant support of bronchial airways in the
Lyprinol group compared to the placebo group.
9
To validate the clinical efficacy and safety of stabilized green lipped mussel in supporting healthy joint function and healthy range of motion, sixty participants received
Lyprinol at two capsules twice a day.
After treatment periods (four and eight weeks), assessment with visual analogue scale, Lequesne functional index, subjective and objective global assessments. Scores at the four week period demonstrated that 53% of the participants experienced significant support for joint health and range of motion.
At the completion of the eight week treatment period, scores had increased dramatically, demonstrating that 80% of the participants experienced enhanced support of joint function and range of motion.
10 There were no reported adverse events.
10
Research has demonstrated that the extract of New Zealand green-lipped mussel in
Lyprinol functions as a 5-lipoxygenase pathway inhibitor.
Inhibition of the 5-lipoxygenase pathway supports healthy leukotriene levels.
In recent research,
Lyprinol was compared to flaxseed oil, evening primrose oil, salmon oil, and fish oil. On a dosage per body weight basis, Lyprinol was demonstrated to be:
- 100 times more potent than fish oil.
- 125 times more potent than green lipped mussel powder.
- 175 times more potent than evening primrose oil.
- 175 times more potent than salmon oil.
- 200 times more potent than flaxseed in supporting healthy joints.11
Scientific inquiry of
Lyprinol is continuing. New research has demonstrated a possible role for stabilized green lipped mussel powder with active non polar lipids in support of healthy digestive tracts.
12 Calls for comparison studies to aloes signify
Lyprinol's validity in support of human health.
13
Conclusion
Unique among nutritional supplements,
Miracle from the Sea Lyprinol ides evidence based nutritional support for healthy joints and bronchial airways.
Ongoing clinical studies have demonstrated
Lyprinol to be safe and effective.

Rabbi Bradley Artson, Dean of the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies at the University of Judaism in Bel Air, California, stated that if a substance were a medical requirement, it would be permissable to ingest it if a person is following a kosher diet. However, Rabbi Artson did not specifically discuss Lyprinol® with us. We suggest that if a person of the Jewish faith has questions about Lyprinol®, or any other dietary supplement, they discuss this with their own rabbi. We are happy to provided any information about our products that they may need.
