Will Complete Metal Cleanse† remove mercury in dental fillings?
While humifulvate (the key ingredient in Complete Metal Cleanse†) has been shown to bind to free mercury†, it is highly doubtful that it will have an impact on mercury bound to other metals as part of dental amalgam in a tooth filling.
Is it safe to take Complete Metal Cleanse† more often than three times in one year as suggested on the label?
Scientists who have researched humifulvate (the key ingredient in Complete Metal Cleanse†) have reported that no concerns were found in toxicology tests, and in ten years of research they have not seen any significant side effects. However, when first applying to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for permission to market this product in the United States, the FDA requested that the period of use for humifulvate-containing supplements not exceed 8 weeks. Therefore, we followed this recommendation.
Later, the researchers sent new data to the FDA requesting that the period of use be extended to up to six months. The FDA did not oppose this suggestion. We have elected, though, to keep our original recommendation of no more than three 8-week periods of use in one year unless at the direction of a healthcare practitioner. If a doctor is comfortable recommending Complete Metal Cleanse† for longer periods of time, we have no reason to believe it unsafe.
What is Humifulvate®?
Complete Metal Cleanse† contains a proprietary mixture of humic, fulvic, and phenolic acids known as Humifulvate. In the body, these compounds act like a magnet and bind heavy metals so that they can more easily be excreted.† Humifulvate is derived from Hungarian peat found primarily along the shore of Lake Balaton in Hungary.
How does Humifulvate® work?
Humifulvate, an extract from Hungarian peat, is a mixture of humic acid, fulvic acid and phenolic acids. These acids are organic compounds that act as organic mineral carriers and detoxifiers.† Their beneficial effects are due to their ability to bind heavy metals so that they can then be excreted by the body.† However, the binding action is selective. Humifulvate does not cause depletion of beneficial minerals.†
