Are you ready for Remifemin® menopause relief†?
Although the average age that women experience menopause is calculated at 51, few things in life happen on a set schedule. It can be tough to tell when, exactly, menopause “begins.” Some of the symptoms, including hot flashes and night sweats, may show themselves even 10 (or more) years earlier, in what is known as “perimenopause.”
Perimenopause: Not menopause yet, but some symptoms
Many women in their late 30s and early 40s experience menopause-like symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, and occasional sleeplessness. If this sounds familiar, it doesn’t mean you’re “in menopause.”
It’s understandable that nobody wants to think too early about menopause. The fact is, some menopause symptoms do begin showing themselves well before menstruation ends. And, if some of the symptoms of menopause haven’t waited for you, you don’t have to wait to use Remifemin®—it relieves perimenopausal symptoms, too.† (based on existing claim)
The main thing to remember about perimenopause is that it’s normal. If you experience menopause-like symptoms, it doesn’t mean that menopause itself is right around the corner. If you are having normal, regular periods, you are not likely to be going through perimenopause.
Menopause
Menopause can be considered to have officially “arrived” if you have gone 12 straight months without a period. The symptoms during this time can be challenging, although they reflect normal changes to hormone levels in your body.
Estrogen and progesterone
Levels of estrogen and progesterone decline during menopause for all women, although no two women will have the same experience of menopause symptoms. While it’s possible for you to experience the whole gamut of symptoms, it isn’t likely. Three or four is pretty much the norm.
Menopause symptoms include:
- Hot flashes
- Night sweats
- Irritability
- Mood swings
- Occasional fatigue
- Fuzzy thinking/short term memory lapses
- Vaginal dryness
- Lack of libido
- Occasional trouble falling and staying asleep
How do I minimize hot flashes?
Try these tips to manage (or prevent) hot flashes:
- Keep your bedroom at a cool temperature and consider using moisture wicking sheets. A cooler bedroom temperature improves your chances of getting a restful night’s sleep.
- Wear light, natural fabric clothing and dress in layers to accommodate the changes in environmental and internal temperatures.
- For some women, spicy foods and caffeinated beverages can trigger hot flashes. Try to avoid these things—especially later in the day—to see if it helps.
- Keep a pitcher or bottle of cool water near your bed for refreshing and cooling sips during the night.
Who shouldn’t take Remifemin®?
Remifemin® and Remifemin® Good Night menopause relief† should not be taken by women who are pregnant or nursing, or women who are nursing.
