It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World! Have you ever seen this hilarious madcap film? The 1963 film is a wild race of many people trying to get to dead bank robbers stashed loot. The movie was loaded with stars like Spencer Tracy, Ethel Merman and Jimmy Durante. I remember seeing it at a drive-in in the backseat of my grandparent’s car, back in the day when you went to a drive-in wearing your PJ’s because the adults knew you wouldn’t make it through a double feature.

So, with everything going on…what would the movie be titled today? It’s a “crazy, wild, goofy, mad, insane, different, unbelievable time to be alive” world?
These are unique times, and they can be stressful. You or someone you know might have lost their job. Perhaps your retirement plans and dollars are disappearing before your eyes. And now, you are in menopause. Since it’s common knowledge that stress can play a big role in physical symptoms of menopause and perimenopause, what are you supposed to do?

You need all your ducks in a row when it comes to being very good to yourself! So, maybe for the first time, be proactive in taking care of you for the right reasons.

  1. Get adequate sleep. I know, it’s easier said than done. But if you are already putting the time in on the pillow but tossing and turning, explore the benefits of Remifemin Good Night.  If you are short changing yourself in literal time, do what you need to do to change that.
  2. Begin to or recommit to the idea of at least a half hour of exercise most days. I’m a big fan of sitcoms which are usually one half hour. I’m trying to make sure I’m watching while on a treadmill or bike. Even getting on the floor and stretching is something…and a step toward a good goal.
  3. Watch your caffeine, alcohol and sugar intake. They can all lead to a life that doesn’t provide you with the proper nutrition you really need.
  4. Meditate, pray, stop and breathe deeply…whatever works for you to really zone down for 20 minutes at least two times a day….do it.
  5. Understand why Remifemin is a safe natural choice for menopause and why we care so much about your well being.

Every day is a surprise these days. Take charge of what you can.

"There are a multitude of reasons that women of your age start to be symptomatic. Having a hysterectomy in your thirties could most definitely contribute to them. I would suggest getting some guidance from a licensed naturopathic doctor by going to www.naturopathic.org and finding a doctor in your area! "

ARggghhh Moods! , Friday, March 13, 2009

"I hear you! You feel unlike yourself...moody...you say or feel something and you feel like an alien in your own body. Almost like you're watching a play of you playing someone you don't recognize! It's frustrating!
I hope you are using Remifemin...and remember, you can use up to 80 mg a day. That would be four regular Remifemin or two regular and one Remifemin Good Night which also has the added Restful Sleep Blend.
It all ads up: are you sleeping? Are you taking time for yourself? Do you say no so your schedule isn't too full? Are you doing extra things to be good to yourself? You do everything in your power to make yourself feel better...so your moods are manageable. Need to vent? michele@remifemin.com
Writing out your feelings is pretty therapeutic too!

Help the men in your life "get it" when it comes to hot flashes
There were some very interesting letters to Dear Abby lately that you will enjoy if you are a lady in menopause and feel the men in your life “just don’t get it!”
Menopause can spark intense emotions, some positive, some negative. One of the problems that come along with menopause for many women is intensity in emotions. Sometimes that emotion can be anger….or feeling plain old mad.
