Ahhhh the holidays. Tinsel, “It’s a Wonderful Life”…and CHAOS if you are in the midst of trying to keep it together through menopause. That’s why it’s so important that you be doing all you can to be good to yourself during this holiday season.
Here are some ideas that will help:
- Talk about your expectations with your family. Determine ahead of time how much money you are comfortable spending, so you don’t have regrets later. Don’t make any rash buying decisions based on mood swings.
- Don’t be afraid to acknowledge that you have emotional and possibly physical limits. You don’t have to do anything just because “you always have.” Store bought cookies are really O.K. Know what is important to you and don’t attempt things that you find overwhelming.
- Don’t expect the holidays to turn out as they are depicted on TV and the movies. Let’s face it. Real life is more Rosanne Barr than June Cleaver!
- Schedule some time for the things that make you really happy... I have to make time to watch White Christmas and Bells of St Mary’s, uninterrupted with eggnog in hand.
- Make a plan and stick to it. Keep taking your Remifemin, exercise and watch your sugar intake.
Give yourself to permission to keep it simple. Resolve to do less busy work and make more time to just enjoy the season in ways that bring a smile to your face. Be good to yourself, and make sure someone puts a few more boxes of Remifemin in your stocking!
Happy Holidays from Remifemin and to all a Remifemin Good Night!
Peace
